Oil spill in your neighborhood?

It sucks to feel powerless while in the path of hurricane but preparation, packing and worry act as distractions. The BP oil spill is a new combination of worry and lack of control. Vacations along the Gulf coast are canceled, seafood is becoming scarce and no one really knows what the economic fallout will be.
What would the BP oil spill do to your neck of the woods? Click on THIS LINK to see the impact to your neighborhood, county and state.

I work in an industry that counts on beach travelers Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, Fort Morgan. Due to the evil lurking near our beaches --- hasn't affected us. Sure the beaches are a little brown & gooey but the folks are still rolling in. Sales are up & sales are good.

I'm just sick over this. Whenever I see the wildlife, my heart hurts with an indescribable pain. I want to do more than buy a bottle of Dawn or send money somewhere. I want to head down there and help those animals! And the poor people that have lost their livelihoods...sickening. BP had better pay royally for this. I'm so angry I can hardly form words and when I do write or speak I find it difficult to find words that will make any sense of this...

Life in the marsh parishes is forever altered. I'm not convinced some of the fallout from the slick can ever be reversed.
