Babies ruin sitcoms

Ugh! The Office is in the process of jumping the shark by introducing the story line of Pam's pregnancy and her upcoming marriage to Jim. When a child is introduced to a non-family show, it spells the end. Remember Mad About You? The yuppie couple was funny and entertaining but then came the baby stuff and ~~poof~~ down the ratings tube. Friends, same thing. It is amazing that The Office writers are pulling the baby thing so early in the could-have-been-a-long-running-show. Spare us the schmaltz and leave the baby crap to The Learning Channel and Lifetime.

it might have ben a bit more interesting to make one of them infertile for a season or two ....

There was a lot of good stuff in that episode, but not the pregnancy stuff. I think they should keep Andy wondering if he is gay for the whole season and follow Stanley around cheating on his wife. I would love to see Pam have a miscarriage on the next episode and have her written out of the show somehow. I think that would be a great ratings boost!

Oh, Toni! I am SO pouring you a drink for saying that!! Wanted to write it but wussed out, afraid to say that an imaginary character's miscarriage is more interesting than a baby.
Toni, Salut! You're my new best friend.
